PRessing On in Public Relations Podcast Takes Home Best In Show Award
 
The PRessing On in Public Relations Podcast was honored with the coveted “Best in Show” award from the Public Relations Society of America – Inland Empire Chapter (PRSA-IE). The Best in Show award is given to the entry that received the highest scores from the judges across all categories.
 
“We were honored – and completely surprised – that PRessing On took home the 
Best in Show award,” said PRessing On Co-host Liselle DeGrave, APR. “To know that our 
podcast not only resonates with our listeners but also with our peers is a tremendous honor.”
 
In the fall of 2019, PRessing On was launched by veteran, award-winning public relations professionals, agency owners and longtime friends, Liselle DeGrave, APR, and Rachel McGuire, APR. 
 
The podcast was designed to provide an authentic look at navigating a career in public relations to those already working in the field as well as those interested in pursuing a career in PR or starting their own business. During each episode, Liselle and Rachel provide practical tips and tools and feature guests working in various disciplines. 
 
“We are thankful we turned what was a dream in our hearts into a successful podcast that has attracted a loyal audience and drew media and podcast coverage in just more than a year,” said Co-host Rachel McGuire, APR. “Each of us has gone through a completely different trajectory to opening our businesses, and we hope our journeys can inspire others interested in striking out on their own to give it a shot.”
 
This year, there were a record-breaking number of PRSA-IE Polaris entries. All entries were judged by PRSA – San Francisco Bay Area Chapter to provide an unbiased evaluation and scoring of each submission. All finalists had to meet rigorous research, planning, implementation and evaluation standards that emphasize the hallmarks of effective public relations and outreach.
 
PRSA is the nation’s leading professional organization serving the communications community and boasts more than 100 chapters across the U.S. The organization’s Inland Empire Chapter represents more than 100 communications professionals in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
