HOST: LISELLE DEGRAVE, APR
Liselle admits she wants it all in life. And by all she means chickens, Hyland cows and stilettos. Not only a wife and full-time mom, she is also passionate about her work. When you love what you do, you never have to work a day in your life. It may be a cheesy saying, but it’s true. As the president/ owner of DeGrave Communications, she’s able to be heavily involved in the lives of her family, while also getting to run a beautiful, thriving business.
She is a self-taught entrepreneur. Having grown up with Cuban refugee parents, her drive to create and live the American dream has always been rooted deep inside her. As a young girl, Liselle secretly gave tap lessons to her neighbors (despite her mom telling her she couldn’t charge them), she organized her grandmother's closet for cash and would even save her lunch money just to fund her early business shenanigans. C’mon, thirteen years of tap lessons need to be good for something, right? She is passionate about small businesses and encourages entrepreneurship.
Starting DeGrave Communications while she was still in college and had no idea what she was doing, Liselle slowly took on small freelance projects. After working in-house for corporate, agency, and government organizations, it was time to take the dream to a new level. In 2018, DeGrave Communications incorporated and it’s been full speed ahead ever since.
Liselle lives in Southern California with her husband, two children, dog and 25 chickens. Having always been an “old soul,” she enjoys antiquing, gardening, reading, studying natural remedies and trying just about anything that has lavender in it. She still carries around actual photos of her kids in her wallet, has a bit of a stamp addiction, and admits she hates pumping gas.

FAVORITE QUOTE:
We need to remember what's important in life: friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn't matter, but work is third.

FAVORITE QUOTE:
If you have a dream, fight for it. There's a discipline for passion, it's not about how many times you are rejected or you fall down or you're beaten up, it's about how many times you stand up and are brave and you keep on going.
